Today in school, Ladybug was working on the letter “C.” Our first activity anytime we have a new letter of the week is looking through a picture dictionary, and naming all of the pictures for that letter. So, we went through a whole bunch of words…cabin, cake, car…you get the idea. We got to a picture of a clown, and Ladybug stopped. She looked at it for a moment, looked at me with a confused face, and said, “Joker?” She obviously knew that didn’t fit with the letter theme, but apparently, she isn’t familiar with clowns, and didn’t know what else to say.

I think our children may have been watching too many episodes of the old animated Batman show!
