Amazon Mom

I got this cool invite to join “Amazon Mom” yesterday, and from I’ve read, it sounds like a nifty little program. According to the information I was given, I’ll keep receiving 30% off the diapers I purchase using Subscribe and Save (which I’ve been doing for several months–can’t believe the money I’m saving!), plus, I got a free 3-month trial of Amazon Prime. For every $25 or greater I spend in Amazon’s baby store (in a single order), I’ll also get a free month-long extension to Amazon Prime.

I don’t know about other moms, but this deal is amazing to me. I’ve been ordering diapers from Amazon for over a year now–I realized that it’s cheaper, plus the free two-day shipping they always have on diapers is convenient. Then when I signed up for Subscribe and Save a few months ago, I couldn’t believe the deals I was getting–it’s too bad that wasn’t around in the days when I had three in diapers at the same time!

It’s free to sign up for “Amazon Mom”, and while I keep thinking there’s some loophole there that I’ve missed, I sure can’t find it. I was using Subscribe and Save anyway, and while I have pushed back some diaper shipments, I’ve never actually cancelled a whole subscription.

Anyway, you sure can’t beat 30% off of diapers, and the free Amazon Prime is an amazing benefit. I love that if I decide there’s a book I need for school by the end of the week, I can just order it, and not worry about shipping. Of course, it does make it way too easy to spend more money that I ought to with Amazon, but I guess that’s probably what they’re betting on–they’ll make more in sales than they lose in the speedy free shipping.

I say it’s a win-win situation for all involved!
