Ryan has been playing Kingdom Hearts with the children. This is a fun game that I’ve watched him play before (a very, very long time ago, especially in video game years!), but that we never got around to finishing. One of the most entertaining parts, especially for children, is seeing which Disney character you’re going to meet next. Donald and Goofy are two primary characters, but there are so many more…favorites from 101 Dalmatians, Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh…you get the idea.

So, Ryan was playing after dinner the other night, while I was cleaning up the kitchen. At one point, there was a sequence that was obviously part of the Cinderella story, including the pumpkin-carriage. And then the character popped up, and from the kitchen, I heard Ladybug shout, “It’s Mary’s godmother!”

Yes, she was talking about Cinderella’s fairy godmother, but she was doing it in her typically enthusiastic, somewhat inaccurate, Ladybug fashion!
