I tried a new recipe for New Year’s Eve–French onion soup. This also meant that I got to use my awesome gift of soup crocks that I received from my mom for Christmas!

It was a hit, more or less. All of the adults (four of us) loved it, and two of five children loved it, too, so I consider that a success. The best part was that it reminded me of my favorite childhood restaurant in smell and taste!
