Today we took advantage of the zoo membership we received for Christmas, and spent the morning at the St. Louis Zoo. We saw more animals than I was expecting, given the chilly weather!

One of my current favorite destinations at the zoo is the Jungle of the Apes, mostly because I love the baby orangutan.

We also stopped at the Penguin and Puffin Coast to visit the newest member of our family…we are proud zoo parents to a Rockhopper penguin. We decided that this guy must be our new family member:
