Sartorial Saturday–Tweed Tamrika

I guess once I finally tried a Miss Candyfloss dress, it was inevitable that I would want another. I tried to resist the Tamrika Sand dress, which backfired on me when it sold out on both Unique Vintage’s and Miss Candyfloss’s websites and I was filled with regrets. I was finally able to find it through a French online store, Boho-Chic Clothing, and ironically, even with international shipping, I was able to order for a little less than I would paid at Unique Vintage.

The thing that immediately caught my eye about this dress was the tweed skirt and lapels. That little bit of texture adds so much to the dress!

I toned down my usual accessories, because I couldn’t figure out how to make a bangle stack work with these sleeves. I did add my Slothertons brooch pair from Erstwilder, a beaded necklace, and a pair of gloves, though.

There’s something about this look that reminds me of the Army uniforms in White Christmas!

I haven’t quite figured out my perfect Miss Candyfloss size. The first Tamrika dress I ordered fits really well; this one is a little on the large side, especially in the arms, which is very unusual for me. I’m hoping to have it tailored in the future, but even if I don’t, it’s still a beautiful dress, and I’m glad I didn’t let this one get away!
