We braved the cold to visit the Missouri Botanical Garden while there was still snow on the ground, and then warmed up while we admired the blooms at the Orchid Show!

Saturday was a very exciting day, because we went to Christmas Traditions in St. Charles, MO, where Chickadee got to see her very favorite Legend of Christmas, Ebenezer Scrooge:

She was also very excited that this year she got to see the Sugar Plum Fairy, and also Santa Lucia (on Santa Lucia Day!) and the Christkind!

We’re in the full swing of Christmas spirit…Chickadee had fun at the Boar’s Head Festival and at Christmas on The Hill!

She’s also been really excited to get a chance to acolyte at our midweek Advent services, and I delight in her joy at serving in the House of the Lord!

And Chickadee got to see Santa again this year at the tree lighting…that whole Santa thing is pretty fun now that all of the children are old enough for us not to have to avoid it!
