Sartorial Saturday–A Caped Coat

Thanksgiving was almost two months ago, but I’m just now getting around to sharing my one big Black Friday purchase, the Abiona-Juniper caped coat from Miss Candyfloss, which I got for an absolute steal!

I’ve had my eye on this coat since it first came out in the fall/winter Vintage Glamicons collection in 2024, but I just couldn’t afford it. In all honesty, it’s kind of a weird piece for me to fall in love with, because it’s a pencil coat, which doesn’t really go with my full skirts, and it’s double-breasted, which is not a style I normally prefer. But something about it really captured my interest, so I was super excited to be able to buy it for something like 60% off!

It’s hard to accessorize a coat, but I did add an Erstwilder brooch in a boldly contrasting color, a pair of Splendette Duchess Bangles, and a RockLove Jewelry necklace:

I love the almost military-style influence of the jacket, both from the olive green color, and the removable cape, which just screams “dress uniform” to me for some inexplicable reason:

It also has a luxurious faux fur collar and cuffs, plus a matching belt:

And did I mention the cape? I absolutely LOVE a cape!

While it has a slimmer silhouette than my other two Miss Candyfloss coats, it still has a nice, below-the-knee length:

I love a sale, and I’m really glad I had the opportunity to grab this coat before it sold out in my size!

Sartorial Saturday–A Water-Repellent Coat for Winter

I have just one more piece from the Miss Candyfloss “Exquisite” collection to share…a coat I picked up from their 40% off sale!

The Dashi-Sable coat is a gorgeous shade of blue, perfect for winter, but also a great color year-round. It has a subtle marquise pattern in varying shades of blue and pink, faux fur trim at the neck and cuffs, and a detachable hood (which is a new feature for me).

I’m really excited I was able to add this coat to my wardrobe, especially since the Exquisite collection was inspired by fashion label Lilli Ann, who were known for their coats…it seems very appropriate that I would add such a piece this season!

I accessorized with a pair of Splendette bracelets and an Erstwilder brooch:

Isn’t the pattern lovely?!?

Here’s a look at the coat belted but unbuttoned (which may be my favorite way to wear it):

And a look at it without the belt:

I love the pink satin lining!

It’s a both comfortable and elegant piece!

I’m already obsessed with this coat, and I’m planning on wearing it as often as possible before the temperatures rise!

Sartorial Saturday–Pastel Stripes

Today I’m going to take a look at one of the “maybe” dresses from my Miss Candyfloss wishlist…obviously, its maybe status was upgraded to “definitely!”

The Estee-Spring dress is the perfect cotton dress for summer. It’s lightweight (so lightweight, in fact, that I wouldn’t wear it without a petticoat!), and the rainbow of pastel stripes is so pretty! It also has a rather unique sleeve style that ensures a good fit.

I kept the pastel theme going with my accessories, featuring a Splendette necklace, earrings, and stack of Duchess bangles, and a pretty Erstwilder brooch:

Did I mention just how pretty the pastel shades are?!?

I was delighted to discover that my Miss Candyfloss Loris-Cardinal coat is a perfect match for the dress…it makes for a whole, beautiful look!

I think this would be an especially lovely dress for Easter, because the pastels give it major Easter egg vibes!

I caved on another “maybe” dress, too…stay tuned to see that one, as well!
