Mani Monday

I am really loving the Holo Taco pastel rainbow collection right now! For this week’s mani, I chose all the cool shades in the bundle: “Mint Mojito,” “Sparkling Water,” and “Lavender Syrup,” plus the silvery “Circuit Breaker” on my thumb and pinkie.

Mani Monday

This week’s mani is inspired by the Cardinals home opener last Thursday. I used Holo Taco “Sacrificial Lacquer” (which is practically Cardinal red!) and “Circuit Breaker” as the main colors, with “Red Flake Taco” as a topper on two nails for a little extra glitter. And my Baublebar Fredbird bag charm is the perfect accessory to show them off!

Mani Monday

I was inspired by the green and pink colors of my new Erstwilder Easter brooch for this week’s Mani Monday. The shades aren’t the same, but the pink and green combo is still there with Holo Taco’s “Pink Fizz” and “Mint Mojito.” I love these pretty pastels for spring…they’re both absolutely lovely colors!

Mani Monday

Since Chickadee just celebrated her birthday, I let her pick the colors for my most recent mani. She chose her favorites, “Sparkling Water,” the recently retired “Lemon Spritzer,” and “Lavender Syrup,” from the Holo Taco Pastel Rainbow collection. The pastel collection is probably my favorite thing from Holo Taco…even though I tend to like darker nail polishes, these are just so beautiful, and catch the light so wonderfully…I’m even including a bonus photo taken in direct sunlight so you can see the beautiful rainbows that show up!

Mani Monday

Can you believe St. Patrick’s Day is less than a week away?!? I was inspired by the holiday for this week’s Mani Monday, which features two shades of Holo Taco green: the dark “Lost in the Woods” and the lighter “Mint Mojito.” I went with a swirly, occasionally spiral-y pattern on top, reminiscent of the snakes St. Patrick is said to have driven out of Ireland.

Mani Monday

In honor of Mary Blair March, I decided to do a mani that mimics her extraordinary use of color. I went with two of the shades from the Holo Taco “Retro Movie Night” collection…the yellow “Hi-Def” and the purple “Anti-Hero.” I think I captured the spirit of her color theory pretty well!

Mani Monday

This week’s Mani Monday was inspired by the inimitable Daisy Duck. I used the Nailtopia Daisy Duck purple as the base, and layered Holo Taco Starry-Eyed over it. I put the glitter layer on a little thicker than I intended to, but you can still see the purple shining through, so we’ll call it good!

Mani Monday

This isn’t the first all-purple mani I’ve done, but I used some different shades this time (all Holo Taco), and I topped them all with “Red Flake Taco,” which is really pretty. Starting with the thumbnail, “Violet Nightmares,” followed by “Purple Slushie,” “Cool Cat Mom,” “Lavender Syrup,” and “Glamethyst.” I went dark to light, but I have to admit, the first two shades are so similar, you can hardly tell a difference, and the last two shades almost look more different in texture only rather than color. I still like it though…you can’t go wrong with purple!

Mani Monday

This week’s Mani Monday is inspired by the classic Valentine’s Day colors of pink and red. I used Holo Taco’s “Crimson Void” on my thumbnail, followed by “Pink Fizz” on the next three nails, and ended with “Sacrificial Lacquer” (a limited release magnetic shade that didn’t make it into their first magnetic collection). I also added a coat of “Red Flake Taco” over the pink on my ring finger, and I really love it…I can’t wait to pair it with other colors!
