Advent 2025–Day Eighteen

I was starting to wonder when Gandalf was going to arrive to Lego Rivendell, but as he said, “A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to,” and here he is, staff in hand:

Turkey continued the upward build of the structure with bags 33 & 34, too, which included some arches and balcony railings:

I think we’re only missing three members of the Fellowship at this point, and we only have a week of building to go!

Advent 2025–Day Seventeen

Today Chickadee worked on extending the base of the section of Lego Rivendell we’re currently working on, adding bags 31 & 32…I think the angle it juts out at makes it look really interesting!

Advent 2025–Day Fifteen

Chickadee made some vertical progress on Lego Rivendell today as she built bags 28 & 29…there are some nice decorative elements!

She also added Merry and Pippin, something she was very excited about!

We’re up to 10 minifigs, half of which are members of the Fellowship:

Advent 2025–Day Fourteen

Ladybug continued working on the current part of the base for Lego Rivendell, building bags 26 & 27:

She got to add some really cool details, including amazing tile on the floor, and also a bunch of candles and book stands:

And Turkey tells me that while this little detail is certainly a support for something to come, he’s also fairly confident that it doubles as an inside joke, as a reference to the Eye of Sauron, which I think is brilliant!

I can’t believe the second week of Advent is over already!

Advent 2025–Day Thirteen

Bunny continued to build up the base of the next section of Lego Rivendell with bags 24 & 25:

She also added an unnamed male Elf, who I will be calling Elf Bob:

Advent 2025–Day Twelve

Moose celebrated the end of finals by beginning the second instruction book for Lego Rivendell today with bag 23, which also meant he began the next part of the base:

Advent 2025–Day Eleven

I love the quiet contemplation of Advent midweek services!

Turkey built bags 20, 21, and 22 to finish off the first book of instructions of Lego Rivendell. This gazebo is my favorite part of the set…it’s so delicate and pretty! Turkey was impressed by what a challenging build it was, and that’s really saying something coming from a Lego expert like him!

He also added Arwen…I love the attention to detail, including her pointy elf ears and the Evenstar necklace:

The set is between 1/3 and 1/2 complete, and I’m already blown away by how detailed and gorgeous it is!

Advent 2025–Day Ten

Chickadee added a bridge and some trees (and some other small details) to Lego Rivendell with bags 18 & 19 today:

Here’s a closer look at the trees…they’re so pretty!

She also built Gimli (my favorite member of the Fellowship) and an unnamed Elven lady:

The set is really starting to have a presence!

Advent 2025–Day Nine

Today Bunny built bags 16 & 17 of Lego Rivendell, which included a lovely arch with sconces on each side:

She also added a pretty fireplace and a small room behind it

I love all the tiny details in this set!
