Our school has had a name from the very start of our homeschooling adventure: Veritas Academy. But to be honest, I only ever use the name when I run into something that requires an official name…in other words, almost never!

I discovered this week that the children couldn’t even remember our school’s name, so I decided maybe we need a little more intentional “branding” around here. And I came up with the idea of designing a logo to go with the name, which meant that I also needed to come up with a mascot or team name of some sort.

After some discussion, and much negotiating, we finally reached a consensus on school colors: purple; red; and silver. And once we picked silver, we decided the “team name” should incorporate that somehow, so we came up with the Veritas Academy Silver Arrows!

The logo is still a work in progress…I’m not the most artistic person in the world. But this is our new logo, minus any future refinements. I’m pretty happy with the way it turned it out, and it was fun…kind of like designing a royal monogram!
