I finally created a rainbow ombré mani using all five colors from the Holo Taco Retro Movie Night collection! Starting on the outside of the thumb, “Life in Plastic,” “Box Office Bomb,” “Hi-Def,” “Be Kind Rewind,” and “Anti-Hero,” then back to “Life in Plastic.” I love the way the colors blend in the middle of the nails, especially where yellow meets blue, and where blue meets purple. It gave me an idea for a future manicure that I just can’t wait to try out!
Finally, a mani dedicated to ALL the shades of my favorite color, purple! Starting with the thumb nail, I used Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Girls Flip,” Holo Taco “Queen’s Curse,” Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Anything is Popsicle,” Nailtopia “Daisy Duck,” and Sally Hansen Pure “Laven-Dear.”
How about a mani featuring five different shades of blue? Starting with the thumb, Holo Taco “Twice in a Blue Moon,” and then four Sally Hansen Miracle Gel blues, “Tidal Wave,” “Luck & Glory,” “Chill Out,” and “Sugar Fix.”
I love St. Patrick’s Day so much, I dedicated a second mani to it, this one using all three different shades of green nail polish I have (Pacifica “Sea Monster,” Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Me, My Elf and I,” and Holo Taco “Wicked Potion”), plus gold glitter (Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Sunken Treasure”)…I think it’s leprechaun approved!
Today’s mani is special, because it’s my first attempt at ombré nails. I’m not fancy enough to do an ombré pattern on each nail, but I did do a color shift from one nail to the next using the Holo Taco “Barista Bundle.” Starting from the thumbnail, the colors are “Espresso Your Holo,” “Need I Say Mocha?” “Holo Cappuccino,” “Blushed Ice,” and “Oat Couture.” They may be fairly neutral colors, but these are the prettiest nail polishes I have ever used…the glitter and rainbows from the holographic micro-flakes are simply outstanding!
