We braved the cold to visit the Missouri Botanical Garden while there was still snow on the ground, and then warmed up while we admired the blooms at the Orchid Show!
The 2023 Orchid Show
After three long years, it’s finally time again for the Orchid Show at the Missouri Botanical Garden! And the show is being held in the new Emerson Conservatory in the new Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center for the first time!
It was so good to be back. The flowers are beautiful, the new space is bright and welcoming, and the smell of the orchids was just like I remembered it. This is always a bright spot in what is usually a pretty dreary month, and I am so glad I will have it to look forward to every year again!
The 2017 Orchid Show
Nothing says Valentine’s Day like flowers, right? And even though it’s still winter, the Orchid Show at the Missouri Botanical Garden offers tons of flowers for your enjoyment!
I’m loving the “vanilla” theme this year, but even more than that, I love seeing how they can take the orchid theme, and make it so different every year!

A Final Look at the Orchid Show
Today we went back to the Missouri Botanical Garden and visited the Orchid Show for the fourth, and most likely final, time. I’m really sorry it has to end so soon…it’s such a beautiful and fragrant exhibition!
Even More Orchids
We visited the Orchid Show at the Missouri Botanical Garden again today. I love how every time we go, there’s something new and beautiful to see!
Hoping to make it back once more before the show ends in about three weeks…we’ll see if that works out!
More Orchids
As promised, we returned to the Orchid Show at the Missouri Botanical Garden today, just two weeks after our first visit. I don’t know if they’ve added new plants in the last two weeks, or if we just noticed different things, but it was a totally different experience!
The plan is to go back again in March, just to see if anything else has changed. I’m sure even if nothing has, I’ll see something else that seems brand new!
The Orchid Show
Today we went to the Botanical Garden for the opening of the Orchid Show. We’d never been before, so we didn’t really know what to expect.
It was amazing! I had no idea that there were so many kinds of orchids. They were all so beautiful and colorful, and the hall they were in smelled amazing. We walked around twice, admiring all of the flowers, and I think we’ll go back again before the show is over.
