The Syndicate Trust Building, which I first really noticed when I was photographing the nearby Chemical Building on Olive Street, is another one of those downtown treasures that I hope we have with us for a long time. As it is now home to condos and apartments, it even looks like that will happen!
Completed in 1907, this is another building done in the Chicago School style, designed by Harry Roach. It is a heavily ornamented structure, which is what caught my eye in the first place…the terra cotta details are gorgeous!
Now that it’s warming up outside, this is a great time to get out and really look at some of the beautiful structures that call St. Louis home…take a look around, and don’t forget to LOOK UP…some of the best details are found way, way above eye-level!
