Anytime I ask Ryan to take a picture of a particular outfit I’m wearing, Chickadee watches with great interest. And sometimes, after he takes my picture, she asks me to take hers! This is always amusing when she does it, because not only does she quickly put on a pair of her sisters’ high heels, so she can be like me, but she also attempts to copy my pose!

Sometimes I worry that I’m teaching her to be vain. Then again, three-and-a-half years of Chickadee Thursday pictures probably taught her that first. I love how much she wants to be like me, though…never in my whole life have I had somebody observe me, and try to copy my every move the way she does, and it’s both endearing and humbling to see how much she looks up to me!
