Today is Ryan’s birthday, which means I made our family’s favorite peppermint chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting.
I’ve made three whipped cream frosted three-layer cakes, (plus one s’mores pie), in the last two weeks. I also recently found out that I’m five-for-five with Gestational Diabetes, (completely unrelated to the desserts, I assure you!), so I guess it’s a good thing that we’re pretty much out of cake-related holidays and birthdays, basically until Chickadee is born. I’m not sure I could handle any more temptation!
