I’ve always had a weird fondness for mastodons and wooly mammoths. We picked the right day to find the cake at Mastodon State Historic Site, because they had free admission (on my birthday), so I could go in and see the exhibits!

I’ll be honest…I’m not sure that it’s worth the (admittedly small) admission fee, because it’s also a very small museum. But, I did enjoy seeing the mastodon, and reminding myself what the difference between a mastodon and a wooly mammoth actually is!
