We took an impromptu field trip to the Missouri Botanical Garden yesterday, and the children brought along their sketchbooks. I love watching Turkey when he sketches, because he takes it so seriously. You can see how hard he’s concentrating, and he wants to get his drawings just right…he’ll start over if he’s not happy with how something is going, and it’s only acceptable to him if he has all the details and colors included.

I’m so glad details are important to him, and I’m impressed with how well he can replicate those details on a piece of paper!
