2021-22 School Year–Week Seventeen

Ladybug practiced adding & subtracting and multiplying & dividing radicals in the lead-up to learning about the Pythagorean Theorem in geometry. She read about the Christian Reformed church in her study of denominations. In biology, she added to what she learned about genetics last week and created Punnett squares with dihybrid crosses. We finished reading the second fit of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

Chickadee had an easy review week in math, which was nice after all of the long division. We read about Europa, Tantalus, Perseus, and Medusa in Greek mythology. She learned about shark teeth and senses in science. Our study of world geography took us to Greece, and we baked Greek kourabiedes:

I have a few fun things planned for the coming weeks, so hopefully that helps with some of the winter doldrums!
