We stopped by the Missouri Botanical Garden yesterday to pick up our Garden Glow tickets (I can’t wait!!!), and I also took my photo of the English Woodland Garden for the month. It’s really looking like fall there now, and if you look closely, you can even see the bold color of the beautiful red berries hanging over the stream!
The English Woodland Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden is looking different this month, but it’s not because there’s a lot of fall color. I think they cleaned up some of the excess growth since I visited in September. Maybe next month things will be a bit more colorful!
Yes, I already took a photo of the English Woodland Garden this month. But A.) I wasn’t really happy with it; and 2.) We had a rare evening walk around the Missouri Botanical Garden tonight, so of course I had to get an updated (and much-improved) shot:
The leaves may not be changing color in the St. Louis area yet, but I can tell how different the light is as we approach fall just by looking at this month’s photo of the English Woodland Garden…it looks weird compared to every other photo I’ve taken this year!
Today’s visit to the Missouri Botanical Garden was in the late afternoon, instead of in the morning like usual, so the lighting in the English Woodland Garden was very different, and I really enjoyed seeing it from a different perspective!
We had to dodge the raindrops at the Missouri Botanical Garden this morning, but I wanted to make sure we made it to the English Woodland Garden before the excessive heat watch kicks in! I love how green everything is right now!
