Western Wednesday–“Time and Place”–Clock and Compass Fountain

This fountain at WKU is especially cool and unique because not only does it have compass points on the ground, the shadow of the water functions as a sundial!

Roses and Fountains

When we were in the Twin Cities earlier this summer, we had some time to walk around the lovely Lyndale Park. I loved their beautiful rose garden:

And also the two fountains we ran across. The spitting turtles at the base of one were especially adorable!

I think animal fountains are my favorite, but anything in a beautiful setting appeals to me!

I love a cool fountain, and when we travel somewhere, I’m always on the lookout for something unique. I think this turtle fountain at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens fits the bill!
