Another new place we visited while cake hunting was the Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta, MO. I knew that there were wineries west of St. Louis, but I had no idea how extensive (or beautiful!) the wine country actually is. 

I think I’ve only ever visited one other winery, in Door County, WI, and this place was nothing like it. I couldn’t believe how many buildings were on the property!

There was also full restaurant in addition to the (very large) tasting room.

It really was a beautiful place…there was a wedding taking place outside while we were there, and I could see why. I’d like to go back and visit again someday, when we have a little more time to explore!
