Kozmania!

Every MLB post-season has its heroes, unlikely or otherwise. So far, one of this year’s biggest heroes has been Pete Kozma, the shortstop who almost didn’t make the cut.

I like to think we have a special connection to Kozma, because we saw his very first Major League at bat last year when we went to the Cards game on our tenth anniversary.

I’m looking forward to seeing the heroics he and the rest of the team have in store for us in the NLCS vs. San Francisco!

Quote of the Day

I saw this quote from Lance Berkman, (following Saturday night’s Cards-Phillies playoff game), on NBC Sports’s Hardball Talk. He’s always good for a humorous comment!

“‘They were chanting my name,’ Berkman told reporters, ‘but I don’t know why. My name is on the back of my uniform. So it’s nice to know they can read.’”
