Saturday Afternoon at the Fabulous Fox

Yesterday was a very exciting day, because not only did Bunny and I get to go to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis for the first time, we got to see Riverdance performed live!

I’ve been a huge fan of Riverdance ever since Ryan introduced me to it…well, over two decades ago, I guess. And Bunny likes it just as much as I do (sadly, I haven’t really been able to get the rest of the Fab Five interested). So when I saw that the 25th anniversary tour was coming to St. Louis, I knew it was something we were going to need to go see.

First of all, the show was amazing. It was very familiar, but there was enough new stuff to make it extra interesting. Being part of the audience was a thrill. Watching the production unfold live on stage is a very different experience than seeing it on TV, and it wasn’t just fun, it was also fascinating.

Now, on to the building. I’ve been past the Fox Theatre many times, but had no idea what the inside looked like. The grandeur, the beauty, the details, the amount of history in the building (we even got to hear the Wurlitzer, a local, but not original to that location, organ, being played before the show!), are really indescribable, so I’ll just let the pictures do the talking:

I really enjoyed both the show and the opportunity to visit this location…I hope I get to back someday!
