Festive Fashion and a Fashionable Gift

It’s already time for a look back at this year’s festive fashions for Christmas Eve and Day!

My Christmas Eve outfit is often the same…a red, white, and green dress with a velvet bodice and full skirt with a harlequin print. It’s probably the most festive pieces in my wardrobe! I added my standard Christmas Eve accessories including a sparkly brooch and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles.

After church I changed into a Miss Candyfloss dressing gown:

For Christmas Day I wore a dirndl with my newest Rare Dirndl apron and a Miss Candyfloss Clarisse-Gia blouse, plus a different stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles, an Erstwilder brooch worn as a necklace, and my sparkly brooch (again):

I changed into a different Miss Candyfloss gown when we got home:

And then I had to change up my accessories, too, because I received a gorgeous RockLove Jewelry necklace for Christmas, and I couldn’t wait to wear it!

I love that I have sartorial traditions to look forward to every Christmas!

Sartorial Saturday–An Art Deco Robe

I have one last look from the Miss Candyfloss Vintage GlamIcons collection to share, and it’s a special one…the luxurious Alytzia-Violette home gown I received for Christmas!

I fell in love with this beautiful Art Deco robe the instant I saw it in the lookbook. I knew that it would be soft and warm and comfortable while still being entirely opulent, and I was correct! The belt is a generous length, and I love the long, flowing skirt.

I will accessorize literally anything, even a robe, so I added a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles, an Art Deco Erstwilder brooch, a RockLove jewelry necklace, and a hair comb from Vixen by Micheline Pitt.

Here’s a closer look at the stunning pattern in gorgeous shades of purple and teal:

And of course it has pockets!

I took a few pictures outside to show off the colors and rich velour in natural light:

I adore the elegant kimono-style sleeves:

This is such a special piece, and perfect for lounging around the house in a grand fashion!

2024 in Outfits

Time for a look back at 2024’s outfits of the day!

I was very intentional about putting together outfits this whole year. I wanted to really wear my wardrobe, so I put together looks for trips to the library and Target and anywhere else I went (except Walmart, because Walmart doesn’t deserve my best except at Christmas when I try to spread a little holiday cheer wherever I go). I think there are over 250 unique looks here, so obviously I didn’t wear something notable every day, but it was the vast majority!

I haven’t decided if I’m going to keep a record like this again in 2025, but it really helps me pay attention to what I’ve worn (and what I’ve neglected), and how I’ve styled things differently, which I really enjoy!

Sartorial Saturday–The Cutest Comfy Robe

The weekend after Christmas seems like the perfect time to take a look at the most comfortable, plush robe I’ve ever seen!

Ladybug and I found robes on the Disney Store website, and we decided we needed to be robe buddies…hers is Stitch, mine is Eeyore. It’s so soft and cuddly, and the most beautiful shade of purple!

I love that the hood includes Eeyore’s “hair” and ears!

And the belt is Eeyore’s tail!

There’s no cuter way to relax around the house.

Stay tuned for details on my other robe, that is about different from this one as you can imagine!

Sartorial Saturday…On a Thursday–The Most Festive of Fashions

This year has been all about the festive fashions…for the last month, I’ve been wearing Christmas pieces almost exclusively, and on the rare occasions I didn’t, I was still on point with colors and festive accessories. You’ll get a snapshot of all of those looks in my daily outfit recap next week, but for now, let’s take a look at the ensembles I put together for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

My look on the 24th was full of holiday cheer, but pretty standard:

But I especially liked the placement of my hair comb:

And of course I wore my Miss Candyfloss dressing gown when we got home from church…it’s the perfect glamorous piece for celebrating!

I was really happy with my look for Christmas Day, which featured my red Everyday Dirndl from Rare Dirndl, and my new Christmas apron:

And I think I did really well with accessories, too, especially the addition of a mini ornament brooch from Erstwilder on my zipper pull:

Back at home, I also got to wear the elegant new Miss Candyfloss robe I received for Christmas:

I’ve really had a lot of fun with my festive fashions this year!
