Turkey and Bunny have been loving their Lego Advent Calendar. One of the first things they do every morning when they get up (way too early!), is open the door, and figure out who gets to “keep” that day’s item. They’ve found, among other things, a plane, a snowman, a drum set, and a dog. But yesterday’s surprise was something else.

They told me after they opened it that it was a shower. OK, that’s weird. I thought it was an odd selection for an Advent calendar, but I didn’t dwell on it, and to be honest, I didn’t look at it until today (and then only after I read about it on a forum).

I just don’t even know what to do with this. Is it more disturbing that Santa is showering, or that he appears to be wearing a thong? And what in the world does showering have to do with Advent, anyway? Could they have picked a more bizarre selection?

Don’t get me wrong–I’m not all up in arms about this like some people–I actually think it’s pretty darn funny. But I do have to wonder what the good people at Lego were thinking when they added this, and how it managed to slip by production control!
