St. Charles Odd Fellows Building

My favorite buildings in the St. Louis area aren’t limited to Belleville. I have a favorite building in St. Charles…in December, I realized that I take a picture of it every year when we’re on historic Main Street for the Christmas traditions festival, from all kinds of different angles, so I thought I should find out what the building is!

It turns out that it’s the old Odd Fellows Hall, built in the late 1870s. It has an interesting history, having housed many businesses in addition to the Odd Fellows Lodge. It was home to a bank, lawyers, and even a dentist! There is a large concert hall in the building, as well. This is another one of those old buildings with a tremendous amount of details that I could stare at for hours, and continue to see something new and amazing!
