Here’s a look back at the three-day trip to Columbia and Kansas City Missouri Chickadee and I took, starting with a visit to Mizzou:
We had a great time in Kansas City, where we visited the National WWI and Memorial, had lunch at Town-Topic Hamburgers, did a quick run-through of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and road the KC Streetcar:
And we took a small hike around Rock Bridge Memorial State Park and explored a cave:
This was a really fun little roadtrip!
It was pretty chilly at the Missouri Botanical garden on Monday, but it was a beautiful day to see the Japanese cherry blossoms at their peak bloom!
We had to stop by the library one more time to see the 10 chicks that hatched last week before they moved on!
Chickadee is very excited to have been getting lots of opportunities to acolyte on Sunday mornings this year!
Chickadee got to play a new-to-us cooperative Disney game, “Animated,” at a youth event after church on Sunday…she picked the original Disney classic Snow White to “animate.”
It was a little chilly this week, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying a walk around a local fitness trail!
It’s been a while since Chickadee and I visited the library…yesterday we took a wander through the non-fiction section and found a couple of cookbooks to try out!
Chickadee got some archery tips from Cupid at Once Upon a Valentine in St. Charles, MO, last weekend!
We braved the cold to visit the Missouri Botanical Garden while there was still snow on the ground, and then warmed up while we admired the blooms at the Orchid Show!
Finally…snow!!!
