The Day After Thanksgiving is a big deal in our house…almost as fun as Thanksgiving itself! Chickadee was very excited to go see Moose march in the town Santa Parade for the final time and collect candy while we were there:
And she and I went back downtown for the town tree lighting after dinner, which is always a lot of fun!
Chickadee had fun helping bake pies yesterday (but she’s still not totally sure about cracking eggs!):
We had a fun time visiting Cahokia Mounds this week…Chickadee was especially excited about the deer we saw!
Yesterday we made Martinmas lanterns for the first time…it was a fun craft project, and Chickadee was really happy with how hers turned out!

We had such a nice walk around Creve Coeur Lake last week!
When we were in Forest Park last day for our field trip to the Missouri History Museum, we just had to stop by Pagoda Circle and see how the fall color is coming along. I was actually surprised at the amount of color we saw, even though it’s no where near the peak yet!
Chickadee had a great time at the pumpkin patch last week!
Even if it hadn’t been Zootoberfest, Chickadee would have had a great time at the St. Louis Zoo last weekend because she got to see the entire elephant herd!
We went to St. Charles Oktoberfest for the first time, and it was so much fun…Chickadee especially loved seeing all of the dachshunds that were there for the “Wiener Takes All” Wiener Dog Derby!
