Sartorial Saturday–Stripes and Dots

Today I’m taking a look at my first-ever pair of Miss Candyfloss capri pants!

The Jacinna-Lee capri pants are a lovely shade of blue and covered in polka dots. I paired them with the Kacey-Wisteria striped top for a bit of contrast in pattern and color, and added a white, pearl-accented cardigan to complete the look.

I accessorized with an Erstwilder brooch that goes really well with the top, and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles.

Here’s the only problem with the pants…when they say “soft and comfortable,” they really mean soft and comfortable! They’re extremely stretchy, to the point where I wish I had sized down. They’re quite a big baggier than I prefer, but there is no doubt that they’re comfy!

I love how casual but still put-together this outfit is!

I don’t wear pants super often, but it’s nice to have some options when I do!

Sartorial Saturday–Casual Stripes

It may be technically fall, but we’re still having summer weather, so today I’m taking a look at a casual, striped top from this year’s spring/summer collection from Miss Candyfloss.

The Kacey-Wisteria is a lovely, stretchy top with just a hint of off-the-shoulder playfulness in a soft shade of lavender. I paired it here with the Idalia-Lee skort from last year, but it goes well with so many other things in my wardrobe, from skirts to jeans!

I kept my accessories fairly simply, with a RockLove Jewelry water lily necklace, an Erstwilder brooch, and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles:

I loved the Juliette-Rose dress so much that I knew I needed to add this top to my wardrobe…they’re very similar!

The back neckline of the shirt mirrors the front:

I love the nautical vibe of this look!

I’m looking forward to wearing this top under jackets once it cools off, too!

Sartorial Saturday–My First Capris

Miss Candyfloss is in the middle of releasing items from their new autumn/winter collection, but today I’m taking a look at my first pair of capri pants from the spring/summer Chérie Bardot lookbook!

The Jacinna-Lee capri pants in blue with white polka dots are extremely comfortable and very stretchy…I sized down from my usual Miss Candyfloss size, and I’m almost certain I could have gone two full sizes with no problem! I decided to go bold with pattern mixing by pairing them with the tartan Efrona-Lee blouse.

I accessorized with a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles and an Erstwilder brooch:

And I added a little bit of extra pattern with a belt covered in polka squares!

This is a great comfortable outfit to wear as the seasons change!

I’m really glad I got to add another new Miss Candyfloss style to my wardrobe!

Sartorial Saturday–Summer Stripes

Time for one last look at the Chérie Bardot collection from Miss Candyfloss, this time featuring the lovely striped Juliette-Rose dress.

This classic dress has a lovely Sabrina neckline, and is made of a very soft and comfortable fabric.

I accessorized primarily with black, which I think looks great with the red and white stripes of the dress. I wore a black boater hat and gloves, an Erstwilder brooch, and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles, plus a Rocklove Jewelry necklace that features a black chain and a red crystal:

The back of the dress features a somewhat unusual and beautiful v-neckline:

One of my favorite details of the dress is that the stripes on the bodice are horizontal, but the skirt has vertical stripes…it’s such an interesting pattern, and really breaks up the look!

This is a great look for the warmer months!

I’m already looking forward to the autumn/winter collection…I can’t wait to see what it holds!

Sartorial Saturday–The Perfect Summer Party Dress

Today I’m taking a look at the perfect summer party dress, the Nalini-Pia from Miss Candyfloss!

The Tassie-Aurea dress is the same style, but in more autumnal colors (stay tuned for a look at how I styled it for warmer days, though!), and I love how flowy and elegant it is, so I was super excited to add another one to my wardrobe!

The colors are absolutely beautiful…it makes me feel like an Easter egg in the very best way!

I accessorized with a pink fascinator, a pastel stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles, and my fanciest brooch.

The bodice of the dress is embroidered with zig-zags in a rainbow of colors, and they’re so exact, they almost look like perfectly laid-out sequins, but without the annoying scratchy discomfort that accompanies that embellishment:

It’s the perfect look for summer!

The voluminous and twirly skirt is four layers, two of which are filmy tulle, all in shades of pink!

This is by far one of the most elegant dresses in my wardrobe!

I’m already looking forward to wearing this for Easter!

Sartorial Saturday–Silken Stripes

I liked my first silk-blend dress from Miss Candyfloss, I decided to add another one to my wardrobe! The Lacey-Azure is a gorgeous piece with bold stripes in various shades of blue-green.

I have so many Splendette Duchess bangles that go beautifully with the color palette!

I also wore an Erstwilder brooch and Meteor Jewelry Co. Starlite necklace, plus a fascinator, gloves, and statement ring:

The light and breezy fabric is perfect for warm summer days!

Of course she has pockets, too:

And a fabulous twirl!

I am absolutely loving silk this season!

Sartorial Saturday–A Breezy Floral Dress for Spring

Time for a look at my most-anticipated purchase from the Miss Candyfloss Chérie Bardot collection, the light and breezy Audrey-Naia dress!

You may have realized by now that this style, which has a lovely pleated bustline and row of buttons all the way down the front, is my very favorite Miss Candyfloss style…it is so easy to wear!

I accessorized with a flower crown from Rare Dirndl, an Erstwilder brooch, and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles:

This dress is exceptionally lightweight (to the point it is a bit sheer, necessitating either a petticoat, or, for summer, a pair of short underneath, with the skirt of the dress unbuttoned from the waist).

It does run a bit big…I almost wish I had sized down for a firmer fit.

The dress has a lovely twirl!

I love the beautiful floral print and soft colors…I’m looking forward to wearing it all summer long!

Sartorial Saturday…On a Sunday–Easter Dressing

Happy Easter!

Today I’m sharing a special Sartorial Saturday on a Sunday to take a look at this year’s Easter outfit, featuring the Wanita-Spring dress from Miss Candyfloss. It’s a lovely dress for spring in a light purple/blue check with a square neckline, pointy collar, and asymmetrical line of buttons down the bodice.

I accessorized with an Easter bonnet (of course), gloves, a flowery brooch from Erstwilder, a Meteor Jewelry Co. Starlite necklace, and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles:

It’s a light and breezy dress for spring!

It has a nice twirl, too!

I don’t have a pair of white shoes, so I paired the dress with my sparkly silver t-strap heels:

And I carried a blue handbag:

This was the perfect look for Easter!

Sartorial Saturday–A Silk Blend Dress for Spring

I finally ordered a dress from the new Miss Candyfloss Chérie Bardot collection!

The Esther-Violette dress is absolutely lovely. It is my very favorite style of Miss Candyfloss dress, with a pleated bust and a row of functional buttons all the way down the front. This version is especially luxurious as it is made from a silk-blend, which gives it a lovely sheen and great movement. The shades of purple-pink are perfect for spring, and there’s a hint of silver shot through the dress as well.

I went with simple black accessories, including a hat and gloves, an Erstwilder brooch, and beads and bangles from Splendette:

Here’s a closer look at my stack of Duchess Bangles and the lovely colors of the dress:

I think the black accessories are really elegant, but I’m also looking forward to pairing it with other colors in the future!

This is the perfect light and lovely look for spring!

I will definitely be looking into adding more silk to my wardrobe in the future!

Sartorial Saturday–A Cap-Sleeve Blouse for Warmer Weather

Today I’m very excited to share my first purchase from Miss Candyfloss’ newest collection, Chérie Bardot (named for and inspired by 50s/60s French icon Brigitte Bardot)! As soon as I saw the Acosta-Lee cap-sleeve blouse, I knew it was a perfect match for the Donna-Sable palazzo pants from last year’s spring/summer collection, and I wasn’t disappointed…they look like they were made for each other!

I accessorized with my Elizabeth Claire Taylor hoop earrings, an Erstwilder brooch, a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles (plus a beaded bracelet made by Ladybug that looks lovely with the blouse), and my favorite hat:

I love how light and breezy the blue and yellow tartan is…perfect for spring!

And I absolutely adore the stand-up collar and square neckline!

I also styled it untucked, which is a new way for me to wear a Miss Candyfloss blouse (even though they style their blouses that way frequently). I still think I like the more polished, tucked-in look better, but it’s nice to have options, and this is a fun, relaxed look!

I have a few more pieces from this collection I’m hoping to buy when they’re released…stay tuned!
