Sartorial Saturday–A Breezy Maxi Dress for Spring

Today I’m taking a look at my first purchase from the Miss Candyfloss spring/summer 2026 “Legendary Liz” collection…the Ashley-Naia maxi dress!

This is my first true maxi dress, and I was a little worried about how it would look on me, but it turns out it’s one of my favorite looks to date!

The floral pattern is so pretty, and I love the color palette of pink, purple, and yellow!

I accessorized with a pink fascinator and gloves, a pair of necklaces from the RockLove Jewelry “Tell Your Tale” collection, and a glittery stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles…it’s the perfect look for spring!

There’s still plenty of movement and twirl in a long dress, too!

This whole look makes me feel like I should be attending a garden party!

I love that even though I’ve been shopping with Miss Candyfloss for quite a while now, I can still find new styles to try and love!

Sartorial Saturday–A Vibrant and Verdant Dress for Spring

Today I’m taking a look at a beautiful dress in the loveliest shade of green that I got for a steal from Miss Candyfloss!

I’ve had my eye on the Nerine-Sage dress since it was first released two years ago in the Viva Rita collection. I couldn’t quite commit to the bold color, but when it went on sale at the end of February, I couldn’t resist any longer!

I went bold with my accessories, too, including an equally bright green fascinator I got for Easter, a pair of necklaces from RockLove Jewelry, a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles in green and pink, butterfly earrings in the same colors, and an Erstwilder Easter egg brooch:

The dress doesn’t just have a bold color…it also has a subtle leopard print pattern!

Here’s a closer look at my bangle stack, along with the pink gloves and belt I added to the outfit:

I added a green charm from the RockLove The Princess and the Frog “Tell Your Tale” enhancer set:

And here’s a look at the top of the fascinator, which is just gorgeous!

The lightweight, satin fabric has a great twirl!

This is such a pretty dress for spring, and there’s something about a piece of clothing that was a great bargain that makes it even more enjoyable to wear!

Sartorial Saturday…On a Sunday–Easter Pastels and a New Fascinator

Over a year ago, when I first saw the Nalini-Pia dress in the Miss Candyfloss ChĂ©rie Bardot lookbook, I knew it would be the perfect Easter dress. Unfortunately, it wasn’t released in time for me to wear it last Easter, but I was finally able to today!

It was a bit chilly this morning, and I really didn’t want to wear a sweater over the dress, so I ended up wearing a lace dirndl blouse under it. I’m not totally thrilled with how that turned out, because I think it detracts a bit from the beautiful pastel colors on the bodice of the dress, but sometimes it’s function over form.

I went all-in on those pastel shades with my stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles, plus an Erstwilder Easter egg brooch, a pair of RockLove Jewelry necklaces from their retiring Disney “Tell Your Tale” collection, and a new, brightly-colored, lime green fascinator:

Here’s a closer look at the pair of necklaces…they’re the same, just different lengths, and one has a Tiana charm from the same collection attached to it:

And the true star of the outfit…the fascinator! I knew I wanted a lime green headpiece for Easter, and I was starting to despair of ever finding what I had in my mind, but Dillard’s had the perfect thing!

Dirndl blouse aside, I really like how this look came together…the fascinator really brings out the green section of the dress!

I felt very much like a decorated Easter egg, which was kind of the plan!

This was such a cheerful look for Easter!

Sartorial Saturday–Suits Me

You’ve seen the Miss Candyfloss Terentia-Paz vest, Arien-Minty bishop-sleeve blouse, and Lucile-Paz trumpet skirt separately…now I’m putting all three pieces together for a great suit look!

I added a pair of ankle boots from Lane Bryant in a slightly darker shade than the suit separates:

I love a Miss Candyfloss peplum!

I accessorized with a fascinator that’s perfect with the blouse, a vintage brooch, a RockLove Jewelry necklace, and a stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles:

I love a vest/skirt suit! I think it’s a lot more fun than a jacket/skirt combo, because you can get a better look at the blouse paired with it.

I was initially unsure of trying out a trumpet skirt, or a vest for that matter, because they’re pretty different from what I usually wear, but they’ve become some of my favorite pieces!

Sartorial Saturday–Pretty in Plaid

Let me be real for a moment. This is a total first world problem, and I know it, but the tariff situation with the US has significantly impacted my ability to order clothes from Miss Candyfloss, my very favorite clothing company. I was able to place an order before the increases took effect, but because the items from the new collection, Solivère, were only just beginning to be released, I didn’t have a whole lot of options to choose from, including my most-wished for item from the lookbook, a beautiful purple dress. The Cloe-Minty caught my eye, though…it’s my favorite style of dress in a lovely soft grey color with pretty mint stripes in the plaid. While it might not have been my first choice, it is a beautiful dress, and if I can find anything to be happy about, it’s that I ordered a piece that I otherwise might have overlooked.

I decided to really run with the subtle mint in the dress, and added a fascinator, Splendette Duchess Bangles, and beads in that color. I also added grey gloves, and a sliver brooch I’ve had so long, I no longer remember where it’s from!

I love that the plaid isn’t too wide…it makes it much easier to wear!

The full skirt has an outstanding twirl, too!

Stay tuned for another styling of this dress in the future!

Sartorial Saturday–Inspired by Daisy Duck

This isn’t the first Disney Bound I’ve done in honor of Daisy Duck, and it’s not even the first featuring this dress and cardigan, but it is my favorite look inspired by her signature style that I’ve come up with!

For this Disney Bound, I buttoned up my purple Yemak cropped cardigan over my white Honesta-May dress from Miss Candyfloss and cinched it with a pink belt. I also added a pink fascinator inspired by Daisy’s usual bow…I think the color palette is spot on!

I don’t have a daisy brooch, but I thought a white hydrangea from Erstwilder would be a good substitute. I also added a pair of Splendette Duchess Bangles in the same color as Daisy’s signature bracelet.

I think I captured Daisy’s look quite well, don’t you?

I tried to emulate her sass and sparkle as much as possible!

I really enjoy Disney Bounding, and it’s fun to try to figure out how the items I already have in my wardrobe can be used for this purpose!

Sartorial Saturday–The Perfect Summer Party Dress

Today I’m taking a look at the perfect summer party dress, the Nalini-Pia from Miss Candyfloss!

The Tassie-Aurea dress is the same style, but in more autumnal colors (stay tuned for a look at how I styled it for warmer days, though!), and I love how flowy and elegant it is, so I was super excited to add another one to my wardrobe!

The colors are absolutely beautiful…it makes me feel like an Easter egg in the very best way!

I accessorized with a pink fascinator, a pastel stack of Splendette Duchess Bangles, and my fanciest brooch.

The bodice of the dress is embroidered with zig-zags in a rainbow of colors, and they’re so exact, they almost look like perfectly laid-out sequins, but without the annoying scratchy discomfort that accompanies that embellishment:

It’s the perfect look for summer!

The voluminous and twirly skirt is four layers, two of which are filmy tulle, all in shades of pink!

This is by far one of the most elegant dresses in my wardrobe!

I’m already looking forward to wearing this for Easter!

Sartorial Saturday–Silken Stripes

I liked my first silk-blend dress from Miss Candyfloss, I decided to add another one to my wardrobe! The Lacey-Azure is a gorgeous piece with bold stripes in various shades of blue-green.

I have so many Splendette Duchess bangles that go beautifully with the color palette!

I also wore an Erstwilder brooch and Meteor Jewelry Co. Starlite necklace, plus a fascinator, gloves, and statement ring:

The light and breezy fabric is perfect for warm summer days!

Of course she has pockets, too:

And a fabulous twirl!

I am absolutely loving silk this season!
