We wanted to go to the Missouri Botanical Garden and see the train show one last time before Christmas, so we brought Dolly along today for Chickadee’s monthly picture. I actually can’t believe it’s taken us this long to bring her along to one of Chickadee’s favorite places!
Chickadee is very excited I put up our Christmas trees up last night!
Today is the rare occasion where “Chickadee Thursday” meets “Dolly Day!”
It looks like fall, but it sure doesn’t feel like it, with the last few days being in the upper 80s. As cute as Chickadee’s outfit was today (she announced that she was a bagpipe when she got dressed…with the plaid skirt, she did kind of look like a kilted bagpiper!), I’m really hoping she’ll be back to wearing her adorable long-sleeved outfits soon!
Chickadee was under the weather this morning, so she and Dolly had a nice time snuggling.
It’s a sleepy day!
Making faces and being silly are still two of Chickadee’s favorite pastimes!
Today we went strawberry picking at Eckert’s, and Dolly came along. She certainly fared better than Chickadee, who was quite stained by the time we were done! While we were there, we also walked around, and saw some animals…plus the Stl250 cake, which we were glad to see out and in good condition!
Maybe next month, Dolly will get to go blackberry picking with Chickadee!

I’m still planning on continuing to photograph them together, as long as Chickadee doesn’t mind (I haven’t heard Dolly complain yet, either). I love being able to see how much Chickadee has grown!
