Last night, Ryan, Chickadee, and I went to The Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis to see Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Super Live as a late birthday gift for Chickadee!
Chickadee has been counting down the days since she found out on her birthday that we got tickets for the show.
It was her first visit to the Fabulous Fox, and she was very impressed with it (especially the elephants on the carpet!):
I thought it was pretty cool that they had a specific time in the show when it was ok to take photos and videos, which, of course, I did!
Chickadee did some of her favorite Sailor Moon poses after the show, including one of the title character’s most famous poses:
It was a really fun evening!
We’re already hoping another Sailor Moon show comes to St. Louis someday!
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live is playing at The Fabulous Fox in St. Louis this week! In honor of the musical making a stop here, this week’s mani is inspired by my favorite Sailor Guardian, Sailor Jupiter. I used Holo Taco “Green Taffy” topped with some swirls of “Blush Money”…I even managed the astronomical symbol for Jupiter on my middle finger!
Taking a break from my usual clothing and accessories Sartorial Saturdays to look at something equally fun…makeup!
My two oldest daughters and I recently discovered Colourpop Cosmetics (I blame Disney and Sailor Moon). I was actually the first one to try the brand, when I saw that they had a Frozen II Elsa collection that I knew would go perfectly with my skin tone on sale. I was impressed with the quality of the items right off the bat, (both the cosmetics and the packaging, which makes everything feel extra luxe), and then we found out that Colourpop was launching a special Sailor Moon collection, too. Ladybug had to get in on that, and while I was placing her order, Bunny decided to add some Disney villains items, and I purchased another Disney set, this time, Belle-themed.
Like I said, I’m really impressed with the quality. The pigments in the eyeshadows are perfectly saturated, and the lipsticks last really well. But I also love the quirky themes and fun colors. Lest you think they only make collections related to TV or movies, they also have a full line of other colorful products, including a “Build Your Own Palette” option for eyeshadow, which I think is really fun, and also really practical, because you can purchase only colors you know you’ll use, instead of having a few you know you’ll never touch.
Now that we’ve found Colourpop, we can’t wait to see what other collections and colors they’re going to come up with next!
This morning I found Chickadee and Bunny sitting on the stairs together (spying on Ladybug), and being totally adorable! Chickadee is definitely Bunny’s Chibiusa!
