This morning I stopped at Schnucks to pick up a few things for Christmas. I was not expecting to run into Anna from Frozen while I was there. Of course I had to run back home and get Chickadee, so she could meet her, too. I loved seeing her face light up when we found her in the store! Chickadee was especially tickled when Anna told her that when she got home, she had to give Sven a bath, or he’d ruin their Christmas party!
Chickadee acquired a new friend at Schnucks today:
For the last few weeks (maybe even months…time flies by too fast!), Schnucks has had these cute little palm trees and inflatable monkeys on display in the produce department near the bananas and other tropical fruit. Chickadee said “hi” to them every week, because she thought they were so cute. Today, as we were walking past the deli, a Schnucks employee happened to be walking by with one of the monkeys, and as she always does, Chickadee said hello to it. That was the only prompting he needed, and he immediately bent down and placed the monkey in Chickadee’s arms and said “He’s all yours!” It totally made her day, and now she has a new friend!
Grocery shopping day!

Dolly went grocery shopping with us at Schnucks this morning:
One month from today, my baby will be FIVE! It may sound cliché, but my, how time flies!
Apparently I haven’t been to enough grocery stores enough times in the last two weeks or so, because I was back at Schnucks today…but at least I have an adorable and fun little shopping buddy to keep me company!
Chickadee and Dolly have been having a fun birthday together! We spent the morning at the Missouri Botanical Garden at Chickadee’s request, and we also stopped at Schnucks, where she enjoyed a cookie from the bakery while we shopped. This afternoon, she asked to walk to Moose’s school to get him, so Dolly got an extra outing!

This week has been so crazy, I postponed grocery shopping until today. As long as she gets her cookie from the Schnucks bakery, though, Chickadee doesn’t care what day we go!
