Sartorial Saturday–Coronation Ready

It’s Coronation Day!

I guess my invitation was lost in the mail (ha, ha, ha), but that didn’t stop me from planning a very special outfit for the occasion…I even added my wedding tiara to complete the look that features the Miss Candyfloss Sacnite-Lee dressing gown I picked up last spring with the Platinum Jubilee in mind:

The tiara is the main accessory, but I also added my favorite pearls (of course!), crown earrings from Erstwilder, a pair of glittery Duchess bangles from Splendette, and the Royal Collection replica brooch I always pull out for events featuring the British monarchy:

My daughters also think that this would be the perfect Disney Bound of Queen Elsa, and they’re not wrong!

I also added my most sparkly shoes, for a regal look from head to toe!

I love that if I try hard enough (and am creative enough), I can pull together an outfit for any occasion from what I already have in my closet!

Chickadee Thursday

Chickadee is, of course, excited about the Cardinals Opening Day, but she’s also excited about finally getting to wear the Elsa baseball jersey she got for her birthday…it kind of took its time getting to her, so she hasn’t had a chance until today!

Tasty Tuesday–The Fifth Disney (Breakfast for) Dinner

For our fifth Disney Dinner, I turned to a family favorite…breakfast-for-dinner. I chose recipes from the Frozen “Winter Wonderland Holiday Brunch” in Entertaining with Disney to create the menu, starting with Elsa’s eggnog, which was a punch made by mixing my homemade eggnog with 7-Up and vanilla ice cream:

The main course was Anna’s ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwiches:

I kept dessert simple…strawberry frozen hearts:

This dinner was really fun, and I love any excuse to make breakfast in the evening!

Chickadee Thursday

This morning I stopped at Schnucks to pick up a few things for Christmas. I was not expecting to run into Anna from Frozen while I was there. Of course I had to run back home and get Chickadee, so she could meet her, too. I loved seeing her face light up when we found her in the store! Chickadee was especially tickled when Anna told her that when she got home, she had to give Sven a bath, or he’d ruin their Christmas party!
