Sartorial Saturday–My Favorite Miss Candyfloss Style

While I’m waiting to add some new autumn pieces to my wardrobe, I thought I’d take a look at my very favorite Miss Candyfloss dress style, which features a pleated bustline that provides an amazing fit, and a row of buttons all the way down the front, which gives you a great option for wearing exposed shorts under it in the summer! The Virtue-Violette is a beautiful sleeveless pink and blue checked option:

The Estee-Spring dress is a short-sleeve option with lovely pastel stripes:

The Heidi-Abalone is a tartan dress with 3/4 sleeves perfect for autumn:

Here’s an example of how you can wear shorts under this style of dress for a light and breezy summer look:

This style extends to playsuits, as well. Of course, they don’t button all the way down the front, and you can’t wear them with shorts, but they have the same lovely bustline and buttons down the front. The Morna-Bo is a long-sleeve option perfect for cooler days:

The lovely Acantha-Fire has short sleeves perfect for summer:

And for really hot days, the Belicia-Minty is a sleeveless choice:

This style even extends to blouses. I only have one, the Efrona-Lee, and it pairs well with skirts, pants, and skorts!

I really love that I’ve been shopping with Miss Candyfloss long enough that I can immediately identify which pieces are my favorite style, and know that they’ll look great and I’ll feel great in them!

Sartorial Saturday–Polka Dot Perfection

Is there a more classic print than polka dots?

I have wanted to buy a Maneater swing dress from Vixen by Micheline Pitt for a long time, but it was never available in a color that I really loved…until recently. This gorgeous shade is called “sunset blue” and it’s of those colors that really changes depending on the light. It can be almost Pantone-color-of-the-year periwinkle, or a straight bright blue. No matter how it comes across, though, it’s a lovely shade, and finally inspired me to give the dress style a try.

I have some Splendette duchess bangles that are just perfect with the dress, as is my Erstwilder emu brooch designed by Pete Cromer.

The top of the dress is very structured, which is fantastic, and the dress has deep pockets, which is pretty much a requirement of any dress I buy these days.

And just in case you were wondering if the skirt it twirly enough…it is!

Now that I’ve tried this style of dress and know how well it fits and how much I like it, I’m looking forward to seeing what other colors it comes in in the future!
