Lego Pet Shop–Night Four

Tonight was the final night for building the Lego Pet Shop!

We worked on the upper floors of the Pet Shop side, which is a nice little apartment, with lots of details.

It didn’t take too long to put together.

We also built a nice little roof for it:

And put the whole thing on top of the store:

It looks great side-by-side with the first half:

But, to display it on our modular street, we split it in half, and I love the way it looks!

I’m not sure which modular we’ll build next, or when that will be. We don’t have the Palace Cinema or the Town Hall yet, and since the Town Hall is the older of the two, that should be our next purchase. I like the Palace Cinema better (actually, I really love it, because it’s got such a unique look!), however, so whenever we have the money for it, that may be the next set we get!

Lego Pet Shop–Night Three

Tonight, we finally got back to work on the Lego Pet Shop!

The second instruction book contains the Pet Shop half of the building. That means people and animals!

I especially love the fish tank:

And the cat trying to chase the mouse:

The way the “Pets” sign came together is genius!

There are lots of great details:

Even half done, it looks nice:

And even better joined with the other half of the building!

Just one more night, and we’ll be done!

Lego Pet Shop–Night Two

Tonight, we finished the first half and the first instruction book of the Lego Pet Shop building (which happens to be the residential half):

We also added a minifig…this time, a painter:

The spiral staircase continued to wind its way up…I love it!

And, there were even more details, including a rooftop garden!

This continues to be a fun build, and I’m loving the split model more and more every day!

Lego Pet Shop–Night One

Tonight we got started on my Lego birthday present for the year…the Lego Pet Shop.

This set has two instructions books, and they’re each divided into two sections. I imagine we’ll use the natural breaks to make this a four night project. Night one introduced us to one minifig:

One of the first things we got to do was build a little flower bed under what would later become a nice bay window:

This set is different from all of the other modular buildings, in that it is built in side-by-side halves. I really like this model, and hope Lego might do some other sets like this in the future…it looks so nice, and it mixes up the display options!

There’s a Lego bathroom, which is endlessly amusing, and an interesting micro build:

The spiral staircase may be my favorite detail so far:

But there are lot of other cool details, too, including a trap door!

This was only the bottom portion of one half of the building…I can’t wait to add to it!
