Mani Monday

Finally, a mani dedicated to ALL the shades of my favorite color, purple! Starting with the thumb nail, I used Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Girls Flip,” Holo Taco “Queen’s Curse,” Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Anything is Popsicle,” Nailtopia “Daisy Duck,” and Sally Hansen Pure “Laven-Dear.”

Mani Monday

Coronation Day is almost here! In honor of the event, I planned a very special mani inspired by the cross of St. George and saltires of St. Patrick and St. Andrew that make up the Flag of the United Kingdom. This one gave me a lot of trouble, because I can’t make a skinny, straight line with a nail polish brush to save my life, but as uneven as it looks, this is actually the better of my two attempts (I had to completely remove the polish from the first try because it looked so terrible)! It’s the thought that counts, though, and I think it’s a fun way to celebrate an historic event. It features Bésame Cosmetics “Holiday Red,” Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Get Mod,” and Holo Taco “Twice in a Blue Moon.”

Mani Monday

I may not have enough Holo Taco Loyal-Tea rewards points to be “Holo Royalty,” but that didn’t stop me from ordering the Holo Royalty Debut Trio, designed by Holo Royalty level members, when it was launched. Starting with the index finger, “Toe Beans” (holographic pink), “Royal Crush” (purple frosted metal) and “Glamethyst” (purple holographic glitter), with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Hi Ho Silver” on the thumb and pinky nails. Royal Crush is my favorite of the three colors, but I can’t lie…glamethyst has the best name!

Holo Taco always has amazing packaging…I love that when you line up the boxes from this collection, they make a crown!

As always, it’s almost impossible to capture just how glittery the nail polish is, but it definitely rivals my Loungefly sequin bag for sparkle!

Mani Monday

How about a mani featuring five different shades of blue? Starting with the thumb, Holo Taco “Twice in a Blue Moon,” and then four Sally Hansen Miracle Gel blues, “Tidal Wave,” “Luck & Glory,” “Chill Out,” and “Sugar Fix.”

Mani Monday

Today’s mani is inspired by the dirndl/apron combo I wore for Easter, featuring Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Luck & Glory” (blue) with the “Unicorn” top coat and Holo Taco magnetic “Love Spell” (magenta). Both the mani and the outfit also go really well with my Erstwilder “Harvest of Health” Pysanky (Slavic decorated Easter eggs) brooch!

Mani Monday

Last week, I shared a Daisy Duck-inspired mani (she is my absolute favorite!), but I’d be remiss if I didn’t also share one inspired by the most fashionable of mice, the queen of Disney, Minnie Mouse herself! I alternated Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in “Black to Black” with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in “Can’t Beet Royalty” and added Minnie’s iconic polka dots with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in “Get Mod.”

Mani Monday

I have never tried Nailtopia brand nail polish before (actually, I had never even heard of them!), but when I saw that they had a Disney 100 collection at Ulta, I knew I had to give them a try. I found colors for each of my girls (Cheshire Cat, Stitch, and Dumbo), and the inimitable Daisy Duck (of course!) for myself. I’m happy with the quality of the nail polish, and the color is really lovely. I added an accent of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Deep Sea Diamond on two nails to keep the Disney 100 theme going…isn’t it pretty?

Mani Monday

I love St. Patrick’s Day so much, I dedicated a second mani to it, this one using all three different shades of green nail polish I have (Pacifica “Sea Monster,” Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Me, My Elf and I,” and Holo Taco “Wicked Potion”), plus gold glitter (Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Sunken Treasure”)…I think it’s leprechaun approved!

Mani Monday

I was inspired by one of my Erstwilder Care Bears brooches to create a rainbow mani for St. Patrick’s Day! I went with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Can’t Beet Royalty,” “Eternally Grapefruit,” “Sunbrella,” “Me, My Elf and I,” and “Tidal Wave.” I’m not going to lie, the orange isn’t quite what I wanted, but it is what I had. I also feel bad about leaving out purple, my favorite color, but alas, I only have five fingers on each hand. To make up for that disappointment, I used “Sunken Treasure” to add a little gold glitter on top of each color, because you always look for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Mani Monday

I combined two of my favorite colors for this mani, using Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Purplexed with highlights of Quartz and Kisses. I also tried a little more nail art with stripes and polka dots, and while I’m still not great at the application, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!
